CHOCTAW, OK – Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) has named Preston Mechling branch manager of its Choctaw branch.
Mechling will direct the operational and personnel activities of the branch using his 13 years of experience and expertise at the credit union. Beginning as a part time member service representative, Preston has held a variety of positions and eventually enrolled in TFCU’s Leadership, Education, Achievement and Development (LEAD) program. This program provided experience in all branch operation roles and helped prepare him for his new position as branch manager.
Mechling graduated in 2013 from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also attended Southwest CUNA Management School, a three-year, credit union-focused leadership experience held at Texas Christian University, and graduated in 2014.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to be the branch manager of the TFCU Choctaw location,” said Mechling. “I grew up in this area, and I’ll be glad to see so many familiar faces when they come into the branch. I enjoy teaching them about all of the new technology TFCU is implementing, and I’m looking forward to helping our members in Choctaw and being involved in this community.”
