With a deep-rooted passion for consumer education and financial literacy, Kara Robinson serves as a financial educator for Tinker Federal Credit Union, traveling across the state to enhance people’s understanding of finances, credit, and making informed money choices.
Holding a degree from Oklahoma State University, Kara Robinson’s journey in financial education began in childhood, influenced by engaging in 4-H consumer education and decision-making. Realizing the gap in financial understanding she was inspired to help others navigate their financial landscape with confidence. This empathy propelled her into the financial educator role where she could directly impact individual’s financial health and decision-making capabilities.
Beyond her commitment to financial education, Kara Robinson also serves on the Gateway to Recovery and Prevention board, AWE board, is active in Oklahoma Junior Achievement, JumpStart Coalition, Pottawatomie County 4-H, Oklahoma Council on Economic Education, Pivot Inc. and many more. Her contributions help these groups make a transformative impact on the community.
This dedication to financial education is not just a profession for Kara, but a continuation of a lifelong journey that began with a 4-H speech on family finances. Kara’s work is a testament to the impact that informed financial decision making can have on individuals’ lives paralleled by her commitment to community. When she’s not strategizing financial education or fostering community growth, Kara relishes her time outdoors and cherishes moments with her decidedly aloof cat, Sherman.
