TFCU Financial Advisor’s COPPA Direct Notice to Parents or Guardian
You are about to access the TFCU Financial Advisor’s online Scholarship Contest form. We value the privacy of our members and adhere to the Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA). This notice describes our practices of collecting, using and disclosing personal information for participants under the age of 13.
By identifying that your child is under 13 years of age, we are requesting your electronic signature and email address for the purpose of obtaining your consent. Your consent is required for the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information for your child. If TFCU Financial Advisors become aware of a child under the age of 13 providing personal information without your consent, we will delete the information.
We will not collect, use, or disclose any personal information from your child unless you provide your consent.
Information We Collect.
In the Scholarship Contest online form, we will ask to collect your child’s name, age, birthdate, and parent or guardian’s name, address, email address, phone number and electronic signature.

How We Use The Information.
We may use the personal informational that we collect from a child to:
- Contact the parent or guardian if the child has been selected as the winner.
- Announce award winners to participants.
- Send requested information on products or services of TFCU Financial Advisors.
- Send applicable notices in regards to the 2020 scholarship contest.
As noted above, we need a parent or guardian’s consent before we can permit your child to move forward to the online Scholarship Contest form. Your acceptance will be indicated by clicking on the accept link below and providing your electronic signature and email address.
