In fall 2023, TFCU gave five lucky Oklahoma students $5,000 each College Cash. Individuals who were 18 years and older and enrolled in an eligible college, university or career-technology center were eligible to win.
Surgical technology student Lyla Cowo of Oklahoma City was shocked when she found out she won $5,000 as part of TFCU’s College Cash sweepstakes. “When I started the program I had to leave my job,” said Cowo. “I just couldn’t juggle both. This helps alleviate a lot of that stress.”
“It helps me almost break even for this semester,” said Emory Zoellner, an electrical engineering student at Oklahoma State University. “I won’t have to worry about a loan. I have a very strenuous degree and it’s nice not to have to worry about money.”
