A close friend referred Roderick Goodman to Tinker Federal Credit Union in the early 2000s. As a young working adult, Roderick had a goal of restoring his credit and went into a TFCU branch for guidance.
“I was scared. I didn’t learn as a child how credit was important,” said Roderick. “I sat down and they made me feel real comfortable. They gave me advice and tools that I could use, and did use. TFCU guided me in the right direction to where I am today, financially stable.”
Roderick eventually shared his tips about money management and healthy credit with his children, now adults. “They’ve opened up TFCU savings, checking, and they are financially stable, building their credit now,” said Roderick.
Working as a sheet metal mechanic on B-52 bombers at Tinker Air Force Base, Roderick spreads the positive credit union experience to others, beyond just family. “I can honestly say, I encourage a lot of people to switch to TFCU,” said Roderick.
